New generation wireless integrated circuit (IC) designer, Spreadtrum Communications Co Ltd, is planning to list on Nasdaq, company spokesman Shi Guang said.

Shi said the company submitted its application on June 6.

Earlier media reports said Spreadtrum is looking to raise up to US$100 million from its initial public offering.

In the first quarter of this year the firm posted a 33 percent year-on-year rise in core revenue to US$26.2 million.
