Chinese shares end higher

The Chinese stock exchange market closed higher?on Tuesday?as?the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.59 percent?to close at 3,032.2 points. Turnover on the Shanghai Stock Exchange amounted to 81.63 billion yuan (US$10.54 billion).

The Shanghai index, which tracks both yuan-denominated A shares and hard-currency B shares traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange,?opened at 3,024.78 points, up by 10.34 points, or 0.34 percent.?It closed at 3,014.44 points on Monday.

The Shenzhen Component Index, which covers the smaller one,?climbed 0.22 percent to close at 8,294.62 points.
