Listed auto companies perform well

Fifty listed auto companies including Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co Ltd and FAW Car
Co Ltd recorded 3.362 billion yuan (US$424.26 million) in profits in the first
half of this year, up 16.76 percent from 2.88 billion yuan (US$363.45 million)
of the same period last year.
Nine listed auto companies (six complete vehicle companies and three auto
parts companies) recorded 381 million yuan (US$48.08 million) in losses in the
first half of the year.
Shenyang Jinbei Automotive Co Ltd, Songliao Automobile Co Ltd, Yueyang Hengli
Air-Cool Group and Guangzhou Oriental Baolong Automotive Industry Co Ltd
incurred losses for the second consecutive year.
