The imported mid-sized SUV launched in China last week is equipped with Ford's 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine and a six-speed automatic gearbox. The EcoBoost engine generates maximum power of 179kW/5500rpm and offers peak torque of 345Nm/3500rpm. The high-tech engine cuts fuel consumption by 20 percent to 9.5 liters per 100km and reduces CO2 emissions by 15 percent.

The front-wheel-drive Edge retails between 292,800 and 356,800 yuan depending on options. It is 4699mm long, 1930mm wide and 1705mm high. The model has a 2825mm wheelbase. The Edge goes head-to-head with Toyota's locally made Highlander.
