More measures to spur consumer spending like increasing the personal income tax threshold and more investments for improving the social welfare system are expected to be unveiled at the central economic work conference.

Personally, I think the threshold could be lifted to 2,500 to 3,000 yuan, but there is little possibility of a hefty raise, as it may add more pressure to the nation's fiscal income.
