Trade: Entrepreneurs summit held in Singapore

The Asian Chinese entrepreneurs summit was held in Singapore Sunday
with 1,200 Chinese businessmen from Asia and beyond gathering to discuss how to
contend with globalization.
The summit, themed "Towards Global
Connectivity", was organized by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (SCCCI), which also celebrated its 100th anniversary.
Statistics showed that the value of the top 500 Chinese enterprises in 2006
is worth nearly 900 billion U.S. dollars, with the majority of the companies
originating from Asia. "We welcome businessmen from every part of the world to
invest in Singapore, set up companies here and even get a listing on the
Singapore Exchange," Wong Kan Seng, deputy prime minister and minister for Home
