Doosan to build R&D centre

Updated: 2006-05-19 10:47 In an effort to strengthen its foothold in China's
machine tool market, South Korean machine manufacturer Doosan plans to establish
a research and development (R&D) centre in Yantai, East China's Shandong
Province. The facility will develop machine tools for Chinese
companies.
The company said all of its products in China would be based
on technology developed by the new R&D centre. The US$20-million facility in
Yantai has an annual production capacity of 1,000 units.
