AstraZeneca to expand production

Updated: 2006-05-19 10:45 World-leading pharmaceutical maker AstraZeneca
plans an additional investment of 300 million yuan (US$37.5 million) over the
next five years to expand its production capacity in China and upgrade its
manufacturing technologies.
The company will expand its drug packaging
capacity to 40 million boxes in its Wuxi plant with a new drug-packaging
production line. The 31-million yuan plant in East China's Jiangsu Province is
the company's only production base in China and its largest in Asia.
