Medicine: Crackdown on bribery

The Ministry of Health yesterday appointed a team to lead the national
crackdown on commercial bribery in the health sector. A whistle-blower hot-line,
a mailing address and Health Minister Gao Qiang's personal e-mail address have
been made public on the ministry's website.
The four-day International Medical Instruments and Equipment Exhibition
(China Med), jointly organized by China Hui Tong (Group) Corporation and other
institutions, opened in Beijing on Monday. It will attract nearly 40,000 trade
visitors and professionals.
