Telecom: One-year notes issued

China Telecom Corp, the larger of China’s two fixed-line phone carriers, said
Thursday it will issue 20 billion yuan (US$2.5 billion) in one-year notes next
week.
The company said it will issue the notes Monday,
according to a statement posted on the ChinaBond Web site.
China Telecom issued 10 billion yuan worth of six-month notes last October
after its shareholders authorized the company to sell up to 30 billion yuan
worth of short-term notes.
