Olympic diving champion to christen cruise ship
Guo Jingjing, former Chinese national diving team member and Olympic champion, will serve as the launch ambassador for China’s second domestically made cruise ship —Adora Flora City —its operator, Adora Cruises Ltd, announced on Wednesday.
Scheduled for delivery on November 6, the vessel is set to embark on its inaugural voyage from Guangzhou in Guangdong province on November 22.航
Guo has long been devoting herself to sports charity and cultural exchanges in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. She will officially name the cruise ship during its inaugural ceremony in Guangzhou on November 22, offering blessings for the vessel’s safe and successful voyages.
Measuring 341 meters in length, the 141,900-gross-tonnage ship has 2,130 cabins and can accommodate up to 5,232 guests. In comparison with Adora Magic City — the nation’s first domestically built cruise ship —Adora Flora City has undergone comprehensive upgrades in spatial design, intelligent technology, and cruise experience.
Adora Cruises currently operates Adora Magic City, AdoraMediterranea, and Piano Land, and its routes cover East China, South China, North China, and Hong Kong.
