Wang Yi to visit Mongolia from Saturday to Monday
Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Mongolia from June 13 to 15, Ministry spokesman Lin Jian announced on Thursday.
Speaking at a regular news briefing, Lin said Wang will meet with Mongolian leaders and hold talks with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg during the visit.
The two sides will exchange views on bilateral relations, practical cooperation, and international and regional issues of mutual interest, Lin said.
"China and Mongolia are friendly neighbors linked by mountains and rivers," Lin said. "Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Mongolia relations have maintained sound momentum."
Lin said China expects the visit to further implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and promote the steady development of the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership.
