Saudi Delegation Explores Infrastructure Investment in Pakistan

 

A high-level business delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, visited Pakistan to explore investment opportunities in infrastructure, energy, and technology sectors.

Focus on Major Transport Projects

During discussions with Pakistan’s Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, the delegation was invited to invest in key motorway projects, including the M6 Sukkur–Hyderabad, M10 Karachi Port, and M13 Kharian–Rawalpindi routes. In addition, officials highlighted the commercial potential of these corridors for regional trade.

Strengthening Economic Cooperation

Moreover, Pakistani authorities emphasized that expanding the road network will play a critical role in boosting economic activity. As a result, they presented these infrastructure projects as viable and profitable investment opportunities for Saudi partners.

Saudi Interest in Strategic Sectors

In response, the Saudi delegation expressed strong interest in exploring partnerships in Pakistan’s communications and infrastructure sectors. Furthermore, officials indicated willingness to evaluate joint investment models for large-scale development projects.

Meanwhile, the delegation also met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss broader trade and investment cooperation. Both sides reviewed opportunities to deepen bilateral economic ties and expand collaboration across multiple sectors.

Overall, the visit reflects growing engagement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Consequently, both countries are expected to strengthen cooperation in infrastructure development and long-term economic partnerships.
