China to cut domestic flight fuel surcharge
Airlines in China will slash fuel surcharges for mainland routes on tickets sold from June 5, Air China and other carriers disclosed. The surcharge will be cut to 80 yuan ($11.73) per segment for routes of 800 kilometers or less, and 150 yuan for longer routes. Infants are exempt from surcharges.
Supply well in place for rail maintenance
Chinese railway operators have well handled the supply of materials for railway maintenance. Shanxi Railway Equipment Manufacturing Group Rail Transit Co Ltd has implemented a "monthly plan, weekly meetings and daily arrangement" strategy, advancing work with track-maintenance units. Its work departments flexibly adjust production of urgently needed materials, while adhering to a three-level inspection system to strengthen checks on key processes. It also formed an after-sales service team to visit construction sites, promptly address supply and technical problems, and ensure the timely and quality delivery of construction materials.
