Brazilian youth sees how Pu'er coffee enters the modern coffee value chain

At a coffee trade fair in Kunming, Yunnan province, a Brazilian youth brought Brazilian specialty coffee producers and their products to China. There, he met coffee growers from Pu'er, a city that accounts for roughly half of China's coffee production. Many of these growers come from ethnic minority communities in mountainous areas. Through conversations, he learned how local authorities have supported them with targeted loans, technical training, and development strategies adapted to local conditions. This approach has helped rural communities enter the modern coffee value chain, increase their income, preserve local culture, and become part of broader regional economic development.
