Harbin Music Museum pays tribute to Tchaikovsky during China-Russia Expo
A Life and Achievements Exhibition of Russian composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky kicked off on Tuesday at the Harbin Music Museum in Harbin, North East's Heilongjiang province.
Featuring precious manuscripts, original scores, historical photos, and documentary materials, the exhibition offers a panoramic view of the life trajectory and artistic pinnacle of the Russian music giant.
Since Harbin and Moscow signed a cooperation plan in 2023, the relationship between the two cities has progressively deepened, with ongoing exchanges in government, parliament, economy and trade, transportation, culture, and other fields yielding positive results. During the ongoing 10th China-Russia Expo, the two cities jointly held the Harbin Moscow Day event.
As one of the central activities of the Harbin Moscow Day, the exhibition pays tribute to the composer's artistic achievements and builds a bridge for the people of Harbin to understand Russian classical music and experience the charm of Russian culture, serving as a vivid medium for Sino-Russian cultural exchange and a beautiful testament to the friendly ties between the two countries, according to the Foreign Affairs Office of Harbin Municipality.
