The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday that Chinese and Russian leaders will exchange views on deepening bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation across various fields during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to China on Tuesday and Wednesday, marking his 25th trip to the country as president.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun told a regular news conference that international and regional issues of mutual concern are also high on the agenda.

Guo highlighted that the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for the new era has continued to develop in a healthy, stable and deepening manner under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, delivering tangible benefits to both peoples and contributing to global strategic stability and international fairness and justice.

The spokesman noted that 2026 marks three key milestones: the 30th anniversary of the China-Russia strategic partnership, the 25th anniversary of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation, and the launch of the China-Russia Year of Education. He said that Beijing and Moscow will take this as an opportunity to advance their relations to a deeper level and inject more stability and positive energy into the world.
