From ancient architecture workshops linking Beijing and Yunnan province's Lijiang to cloud classrooms connecting students across cities, the Prince Kung's Palace Museum turned this year's International Museum Day on May 18 into a celebration of cultural dialogue, education and public participation.

Between May 16 and 18, the museum launched a series of events highlighting how museums can serve as spaces for learning, exchange and community engagement.

One of the flagship events is the Exhibition on the Youth Aesthetic Education Program on Prince Kung's Palace Museum, which showcases more than 180 artworks by nearly 500 students from over 30 schools in Beijing. The works explore themes such as palace architecture, gardens and daily life at the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) residence.

The exhibition also reviewed the museum's five-year effort in aesthetic education. According to the museum, it has developed 76 art education courses over the years, reaching more than 50,000 young participants.
