More than a dozen US corporate representatives have been invited to join US President Donald Trump on his trip to China, according to a report by CCTV News, citing multiple US media outlets.

The outlets, including the Associated Press and Bloomberg, reported the information, quoting a White House official on May 11.

The executives span the technology, finance, aviation and agriculture sectors.

In the technology sector, the delegation includes Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, as well as the heads of semiconductor companies such as Qualcomm and Micron.

In the financial sector, the business leaders come from Wall Street giants, including Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, and Blackstone.

In addition, Boeing and Cargill represent the aviation and agricultural sectors, respectively.

According to Bloomberg, Jensen Huang, CEO of chip giant Nvidia, also joined the delegation accompanying Trump on his trip to Beijing.

Trump will make a state visit to China from May 13 to 15.
