Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong to visit China
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian announced on Monday that at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong will visit China from Tuesday to Thursday.
During the visit, the two foreign ministers will cochair the 8th China-Australia Foreign and Strategic Dialogue, Lin said, adding that the two sides will also have an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of mutual interest.
China looks forward to advancing the implementation of common understandings, enhancing political mutual trust, deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, and promoting the steady, sound and sustainable growth of China-Australia relations, so as to deliver greater benefits to the two peoples, the spokesman added.
