Tang Dengjie, secretary of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee, and Pham Dai Duong, secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee of Vietnam, signed an agreement to establish friendly inter-provincial relations on April 15. This marks the start of a new phase of pragmatic cooperation between the two provinces.

Since establishing a partnership in August 2011, Shanxi and Phu Tho have continuously engaged in cultural exchanges and strengthened interactions across various fields, deepening mutual trust and cooperation.

Both sides have expressed their commitment to leveraging this new relationship to further enhance practical cooperation in areas such as trade, agriculture, technology, culture, education, tourism, and local governance. The aim is to strengthen the traditional friendship between the peoples of China and Vietnam and build a higher-level strategic community with a shared future.

Phu Tho Province is located in northern Vietnam, covering an area of 9,361 square kilometers and home to over 4 million people. With its advantageous location and solid industrial foundation, it serves as a crucial transportation hub connecting Vietnam's capital, Hanoi, with the northwest region. It is also an important industrial hub in northern Vietnam.
