Beijing ready to welcome a deep pool of international diving talent
China will enter a full-strength squad, featuring a blend of experience and youth. Olympic champions Chen Yuxi, Chen Yiwen, Lian Junjie, and Wang Zongyuan will headline the team, joined by a new generation of divers including Jiang Linjing, Cui Jiaxi, Bai Yuming, and Liu Chengzan.
Notably, in the highly anticipated women's individual 10-meter platform event, both Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi will be absent, with Jiang Linjing and Cui Jiaxi stepping in to represent China.
Fu said the team will compete at full intensity in pursuit of top results.
Taking place during the national May Day holiday, the event will also feature a "second venue" outside the Water Cube, with live screenings, food and interactive activities, aiming to boost consumption and create a vibrant sports and leisure atmosphere.
Zhang Hua, a senior official with the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports, said the Super Final will kick off a series of sporting events under the theme "Exciting May Day, Endless Sporting Action," further leveraging Beijing's status as a "Dual Olympic City".
The program is expected to elevate the city's sporting profile while offering residents and visitors a richer array of viewing and participation opportunities, he said.
