Ngo Phuong Ly, wife of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Vietnamese President To Lam, visited Guangxi Arts University's Ethnic Music Museum on Thursday in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

She attended a performance of a traditional ethnic one?stringed instrument from Guangxi and joined a cultural exchange with Vietnamese students at the institution. She also presented the university with iconic bamboo instruments from Vietnam and corresponding teaching materials.

Since enrolling its first undergraduate and graduate students from Vietnam in 2008, Guangxi Arts University has hosted approximately 500 Vietnamese students across multiple disciplines, including musical performance, music education, composition and compositional theory, and choreography.
