The vast rhododendron forests of Bijie, Guizhou province, are in full bloom, covering nearly 125 square kilometers of landscape views in pink dots.
These tall, tree-like rhododendrons bloom in dense clusters from mid-March to early May each year. The Baili Dujuan Scenic Area, named for the plant, has the world's largest and most diverse native rhododendron habitat, with more than 10 species found nowhere else.
Using cultivation techniques, the site has achieved out-of-season flowering and built a flower production base. These year-round rhododendrons are now available on the market.
