Moscow State University of Technology joins robotics competition in Chongqing
Chongqing has expanded its educational collaboration with Russia in recent years. It now hosts three joint institutions and four cooperative programs, enrolling more than 1,000 students annually.
The China-Russia International School of Intelligent Manufacturing, created in partnership between the engineering institute and STANKIN, is the first Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution at the vocational level in the southwestern municipality.
According to the institute, since the collaboration began in 2022, the two schools have jointly trained over 400 young professionals and conducted about a dozen exchange activities. Last year, they solidified their partnership by establishing the China-Russia Innovation and Development Center within the institute.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the China-Russia strategic partnership of coordination and the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between the two countries. Earlier this year, the two countries' presidents announced that 2026-2027 would be designated as the China-Russia Year of Education.
