The 10th International Conference on Display Technology (ICDT 2026) opened in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area on April 1, bringing together renowned academicians, experts, and industry representatives from around the globe.

This year's conference featured 95 sub-forums and 30 activities, including over 1,000 technical presentations covering 18 cutting-edge fields, encompassing the entire display industry chain and showcasing the latest achievements and application prospects.

Zhao Bing, a local official, presented an industrial promotion and extended an investment invitation to attending guests, saying, "Liangjiang boasts a robust industrial foundation with a 400 billion yuan ($58 billion) intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry and a 300 billion yuan next-generation electronic information manufacturing industry. The region's new display industry generated an industrial output value of 50.94 billion yuan in 2025, accounting for approximately 70 percent of the city's total."

The area is home to leading enterprises such as BOE, Corning, and Laibao Technology, establishing an innovative industrial chain spanning raw material production, core component manufacturing, panel production, and terminal applications.

The Society for Information Display, along with leading display industry companies including BOE and TCL Technology Group, launched a cooperation initiative to deepen technological innovation, practice green manufacturing, and drive industry upgrades in collaboration with global partners.

The conference also announced the industry's top 10 breakthroughs, recognizing significant achievements in technology development, industrialization, and application expansion.

Companies such as BOE, Hisense, and Tianma showcased their latest display technologies and applications, highlighting the innovative applications of artificial intelligence in entertainment, office, and retail scenarios.

The conference, which runs until April 3, has attracted nearly 100 enterprises from across the display industry's upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, covering materials, components, chips, equipment, panels, and terminal products.
