Qinghai has now established the country's first plateau medical research center and a large database of Tibetan medicine scientific and technological resources. The region has achieved fruitful results in areas such as hypoxia adaptation, prevention and treatment of plateau diseases, clinical technological innovation, and development of traditional Chinese and Tibetan medicine.
Scientific innovation and public science education are two equally important wings of innovation-driven development. With no ready path to follow, only independent innovation can secure the initiative in international competition in the new space era. In recent years, we have stepped up efforts in independent innovation and continued striving for key technological breakthroughs.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), China's national innovation system has become more refined. Scientific researchers have not only expanded in number but, more importantly, seen a significant improvement in their capabilities. They are now adept not only at addressing scientific questions and overcoming technological challenges, but also at posing new scientific questions.
Our machine tools have reached a level where they can compete with top-tier international equipment in ultraprecision machining. Our objectives are clear: we will continue to innovate and accelerate breakthroughs in bottleneck areas, aiming to achieve independent control over core technologies.
