Overseas Chinese hometown hosts dazzling lantern exhibition through March

A Lantern Festival kicked off on Tuesday evening in Shantou, a city in eastern Guangdong province, well known for being the hometown of many overseas Chinese.
The event unfolded in the city's downtown area and features a dazzling feast of lanterns, unique folk performances, and creative tech interactions. It is organized into a lantern exhibition section and a folk performance area.
The exhibition includes imaginative lantern displays, such as whimsical lantern groups and dreamlike inflatable art installations.
