Earthquake strikes Guizhou county early morning

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck Weining county, Bijie city, Guizhou province, at 4:01 am on Saturday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The local emergency management department said that, as of noon, there were no casualties and no reports of collapsed buildings.
The provincial earthquake bureau has dispatched a work team to the area to coordinate emergency response and to monitor seismic activity.
A Bijie power bureau official told China Daily that, as of 11:00 am, the countywide power grid was operating normally and that emergency inspections had found no equipment damage.
