Do you know why porcelain is also called "china"? A woman from Taiwan province and her husband from Beijing found the answer in clay. Together, they created a vase symbolizing an embrace, adorned with images of the sea near Hualien and the rose that flourishes in Beijing. They fired their creation in Jingdezhen, a city world-renowned for its porcelain. It turns out that those on both sides of the Strait share a common root, one that will forever bind them together.
