The 6th China animal specimen competition opened in Shanghai on Dec 20, with selected excellent works from 738 entries on free display until Mar 2026 at the China-Israel (Shanghai) Innovation Hub in Putuo district. A 7th-grader from Tianjin made a specimen from a crucian carp rescued from a vegetable market, interpreting the significance of species protection through practice; as experts noted: "Preserving a specimen means preserving a natural resource."
