During the recent cold front that swept through Central China, a snowstorm transformed the Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, Hunan province, into a winter wonderland, creating breathtaking scenes of frost-clad peaks and swirling cloud seas that left visitors captivated.
Despite early March typically marking the arrival of spring, temperatures in Zhangjiajie plunged dramatically following the cold snap, triggering the third snowfall this season. The iconic quartz-sandstone pillars of Tianzi Mountain emerged as crystalline sculptures under their fresh white mantle.
Meteorologists said the snow will likely continue for three days, creating a rare opportunity for tourists to enjoy the site.
