The Rongjiang Village Super League, a soccer competition in Guizhou province dubbed cunchao by netizens, began a match tour on Saturday to promote the league and expand its influence in bigger cities and prefectures.

Zunyi city hosted the first friendly match, with a team from Zunyi's Xinpu New Area squaring off against a team from Rongjiang county, the home of the soccer league in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture. In addition to the match, the audience saw an interactive performance and ate local specialties.

More such events will be hosted across the province to increase the sport's fanbase. The tour also aims to promote local culture and economy.
