BEIJING - Chinese Super League (CSL) outfit Jiangsu Suning has changed its name to Jiangsu FC in compliance with the Chinese Football Association's latest policy.
The CFA requires all professional football clubs in China to remove corporate titles in their club names before the 2021 season.
The Nanjing-based club, which won the CSL title last season, was reported to owe its players three months' wages and their title-winning bonus.
The club's owner, Suning Holdings Group, which also owns Italian side Inter Milan, has been rumored to be in financial difficulty.
