WASHINGTON -- World No 1 Dustin Johnson of the United States will head the field of the Houston Golf Open, which will be the first PGA Tour event to have fans on US soil since the COVID-19 halted play in March.
The Houston Open will be Johnson's first event after he tested positive for the COVID-19 at mid-October, which knocked him out of the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek and the Zozo Championship at Sherwood.
The Houston Open, kicking off on Thursday, is limiting ticket sales to 2,000 a day. The last event held with fans on US soil was the Players Championship in March.
The event will end on Sunday.
