Chinese Communist Youth League organizes 85,000 volunteers to assist epidemic control

BEIJING -- The Chinese Communist Youth League (CCYL) has organized 85,000 volunteers to support prevention and control against the novel coronavirus outbreak, according to the CCYL Central Committee.
The volunteers have engaged in work including hotline answering, screening at the community level, security checks, disinfection, as well as psychological counseling.
As of Friday, a total of more than 227 million yuan (around 32.73 million U.S. dollars) in cash and 228 million yuan worth of materials had been raised through all levels of the CCYL committees, the All-China Youth Federation and the China Youth Entrepreneurs Association.
