PICC Group names Yu as vice-president
Yu Ze (pictured), general manager of Taiping General Insurance Co Ltd, a major Chinese property insurance company, was named vice-president and a member of the Communist Party of China committee in PICC Group, one of China's largest insurance groups. Yu, 48, graduated from Nankai University majoring in insurance. In the past, he worked as marketing director and deputy general manager of Taiping General Insurance.
Xiaomi picks top brass: Wang rises to president
Wang Xiang was appointed president of Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi Corp, in charge of the company's management and operations. He joined Xiaomi in 2015 as senior vice-president, in charge of strategic cooperation and important partnership relations. Wang has about 20 years of experience in semiconductor and communications industry. He once served as president of US tech giant Qualcomm in China.
Zheng is new GM of State-owned CSCEC
Zheng Xuexuan was named general manager of China State Construction Engineering Corp. Zheng was once head of the company's Algeria business, deputy general manager of its overseas cooperation business, and general manager of human resources. He was appointed a board member and deputy Party chief of the company in September 2018.
