Around 150 journalism students, their teachers, scholars and government officials gathered for the 2019 Campus Newspaper Awards presentation ceremony in Shenzhen on Sunday.
The annual event is the only campus journalism competition with contestants from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Launched by China Daily Hong Kong Edition in 2012, this year's competition saw a record numbers of participating universities (50), submitted entries (1,009), and award-winning finalists (84).
