Xiongan New Area in Hebei province is about to reach its full-scale construction stage after a series of plans were finalized over the past two years.

The blueprint for Xiongan's development has been drawn up, and we need to implement the blueprint thoroughly. In the new stage, we will adhere to a development concept which is open and market-oriented, thus giving full play to the decisive role of the market in allocating resources.

More than 30 plans have been made for the development of the area, including an overall plan, a plan for the protection of Baiyangdian - a wetland in the area - and plans for flood control, earthquake prevention and comprehensive transportation.
