The couple used to work together on the same project, but now they are in different departments. "Sometimes we only meet once a week, and we feel very content if we can watch a movie or take a walk together," Xu said.

Their honeymoon days were also reduced due to work. "We had a total of nine days off. After the wedding ceremony, there were only four days left. Excluding the time on road, only two days were left for our honeymoon," Xu said.

"All young girls dream about a romantic honeymoon, but we are construction workers and had to give it up for our work."

When the 333 project is completed, three central towns of Gaoyou city will get access to first-class highways, making a positive impact on the economic and social development of the towns and benefit villages along the route.

"People are looking forward to this road, we dare not relax," Guo said. "When the project is over, I will make up for our short honeymoon."
