A forum on Italian wine called "The Road of Italian Wine's Prosperity" was held on July 23 in Beijing.
At the event, the Italian Ambassador to China, Ettore Sequi, spoke about Italian wines and said that the Chinese will increasingly fall in love with Italian wine and the Italian lifestyle.
According to Amedeo Scarpa, the director of the Italy Trade Agency in Beijing, in the first six months of 2018, the sales of Italian wines in China increased 62.82 percent over the previous year.
"Chinese wine customers are getting more sophisticated and they are open to new experiences," said Scarpa.
