National Games organizers look for logo, mascot, song and slogan designs
XI'AN -- The organizers of the 14th Chinese National Games are seeking designs from all over the world for official logo, mascot, and slogan as well as its theme song.
"All the designs should not only show the Olympic spirit but also reflect the Chinese culture and Shaanxi style," said Wang Yong, the deputy secretary of 14th National Games Preparatory Committee on Saturday.
The process of collecting official logo, mascot and slogan designs will end on August 1 and the submission of the theme song will reach its deadline on June 1, 2019. All the winning bids will receive certificates and bonuses ranging from 10,000 (about $1560) to 100,000 yuan.
"As a retired native athlete, I look forward enthusiastically to the National Games. It is a pity for me not to be able to compete on home soil. However, I will do my best to support the organizing and promoting of the Games," said two-time Olympic diving champion Qin Kai at the press conference.
The National Games will open in Shaanxi Province in 2021 and it is the first time the multi-sport Games is held entirely at a western province of China.
