CPC to launch campaign for staying true to founding mission
BEIJING - Xi Jinping said Wednesday the Communist Party of China will launch a campaign to instruct its 89 million members to use the Party's new theories to fortify their thinking.
The campaign, on the theme of "staying true to our founding mission," covers all Party members, especially officials at and above the county and director level, Xi said while delivering a report at the opening session of the 19th CPC National Congress.
Over the past years, the CPC have launched activities to command and act on the Party's mass line, and initiated a campaign for the observance of the "Three Stricts and Three Earnests."
The Party has also required all its members to have a solid understanding of the Party Constitution, Party regulations, and related major policy addresses and to meet Party standards, Xi said.
