10. Chengdu
The southwestern city has four subway lines in operation, 129 kilometers, carrying about 2.2 million passengers every day.
Chengdu has got approvals on building 508 kilometers of subway system. Some subway lines are under construction. It expects to put into operation 600 kilometers subway by 2022.
